Meet our Staff
RN-C, BSN, Nurse Provider
This feisty and fit brunette has been an RN since 1994 with 12 of those years spent on labor and delivery for Salina Regional Health Center. Shawna has been a full-time nurse with Dr. Hendrick’s practice since 2008, when she was hired to develop and coordinate our Vein Clinic at Salina Surgical Arts.
Shawna takes great pride in her profession and is constantly seeking new knowledge in her field. In 2004 she graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), which she achieved while working full-time as an RN and while still being a full-time mom and wife to her family. More recently she has been studying at Fort hays State University to obtain her Masters in Nurse Practitioner (NP), which she once again has been pursuing while still working full-time as an RN and being a full-time mom. Shawna has proved to be a skilled and capable provider, and as such is a first assistant to Dr. Henrick in many procedures.
Shawna grew up in Wilson, Kansas. She is the mother of three children and is passionate about nursing, physical fitness, and family. She is very involved in her church. She also enjoys working out, going to the lake, being with friends and family, and travel and food.
RN, OR Supervisor
Our newest addition to the Salina Surgical Arts Center team. It is Jamie who really makes the OR “go”. As the OR Supervisor, Jamie is responsible for ensuring it functions seamlessly and efficiently for your OR experiences. An experienced operating room nurse for more than seven years, Jamie previously worked at Salina Regional health Center as well as McPherson hospital in the operating room. She represents the second Registered Nurse who is dedicated to your care and comfort at Salina Surgical Arts Center.
Jamie is married and a mother of four children. She grew up in Galva, Kansas and graduated from Canton-Galva High School. She is an avid runner and also enjoys baking, shopping, K-State football, playing with her kids, and participating in her children’s extracurricular activities.
Administrative Assistant/Medical Assistant
Any visitor to Salina Surgical Arts Center will be hard pressed to miss meeting Rhonda, our venerable “jack of all trades”. When Rhonda isn’t assisting Dr. Hendrick with patient care in the clinic, she is busy supporting the practice on the business and administration side. Her 14 years as a childcare provider is evident in her continued passion for children who visit us. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Kansas Wesleyan University makes her an able and perfect addition to the administration side of the house.
Rhonda is married with three children. She enjoys church, interior design, tennis, fitness, and sports, including cheering on her own kids.
Liz is the person that our cosmetic surgery patients will come to rely on the most, as she is the one who will be coordinating their cosmetic surgery experience from the first consult through the last follow-up. Liz joined Salina Surgical Arts Center in this capacity in 2011 after 12 years of working at Victoria’s Secret (including five years as manager). Although the workplace has changed, her passion has not-that of making people “feel better inside and out”.
Liz is a mother of five and grandmother of five. She grew up in Montana and settled in the Midwest in 1995. She is constantly striving to “better my live” and enjoys cooking, running, spending time with her family, and photography. She also enjoys traveling on a plane, and her dream vacation is to travel Europe, tour historical places and enjoy “great coffee and spas”.
